Ellen is the Founder & Managing Director of Silicon Valley Connect. She also manages a portfolio of roughly 50 angel investments, and serves on several boards including Instructure (NYSE: INST) and Rallypoint. Given her unique 25 year career in the Bay Area, including key roles in venture (Softbank, NeoCarta, DFJ), universities (Harvard, Stanford, ASU) and large companies (PriceWaterhouse Coopers, Apple Computer), and startups (WhoWhere, Softbook, and most notably LinkedIn as head of Corporate Development and Strategy), she is known as the “Most Connected Woman in Silicon Valley,” Ellen now focuses on topics associated with dynamic, rapidly-growing startups; including the “Future of Work” (automation, AI, job displacement, skills training, and education), on social networks within “the enterprise”; and on developing innovation ecosystems and supporting organizational models. She has a BA from the University of Michigan, and MA/PhD in Cognitive Psychology from Stanford University.
