Kevin Hartz is the Co-founder and Chairman at Eventbrite, the leading event management and ticketing website allowing users to browse, create, and promote local events. Eventbrite went public in August 2018 and is currently traded on the NYSE. Prior to founding Eventbrite, Kevin co-founded Xoom, an online money transfer service that went public in 2013 and was acquired by PayPal in 2015 for $1.1B. Kevin served as CEO and then member of the Board of Directors. Kevin is also an avid angel investor and mentor to startup founders. His investments include Airbnb (Seed, Series A), Uber (Series B), Pinterest (Seed, Series A), and PayPal (Seed). He also serves on the Board of Trustees of the California Academy of Sciences.
