Why we’re continuing to invest in Tofu’s vision - Reducing martech bloat for GTM teams

Marketing teams continue to be bombarded by an overwhelming number of tools in 2025. While the surge in AI innovations like ChatGPT promised smarter solutions, it has also led to disjointed systems that hinder true efficiency and scale. Tight budgets and increasing demands for measurable ROI mean every tool must deliver and Tofu answers this call by consolidating disparate GTM functions into one streamlined, AI-powered platform.

Building on our seed round in 2023, we’re leading Tofu’s $12M Series A to accelerate their mission: cutting through Martech clutter and delivering impactful, go-to-market (GTM) campaigns at scale.

"Tofu is the end of one-size-fits-none marketing. Customers rave about the 10x lift in content output for time-strapped marketing teams and 20% downstream conversion lift. EJ, Elaine, and Honglei represent the perfect combination of AI/ML expertise and customer empathy as GTM practitioners."
- Wayne Hu, Partner, SignalFire

Simplify and scale: Ditch the Martech sprawl

As budgets tighten, marketing teams are replacing point solutions with all-in-one platforms like Tofu to scale campaigns efficiently while cutting software costs.

Tofu isn’t just about generating content—it’s about crafting customized, on-brand assets that drive real results. By integrating functionalities for creating landing pages, emails, blogs, and social posts, and more, Tofu empowers teams to build cohesive, omnichannel campaigns easily.

The company reported that teams using the platform have seen up to a 75% reduction in campaign creation time and a 230% increase in engagement rates across their marketing channels.

Their impressive growth—a 12x revenue increase and a 36x surge in content generation—speaks volumes about the platform’s ability to deliver efficiency and impact for startups and enterprises.

The next evolution of B2B marketing AI: Introducing Tofu

B2B marketing has become a tangled mess of point solutions that still fail to solve the core need: making all your customers feel special, seen, and individually supported. Luckily, AI is finally ready to deliver personalized marketing at scale.

Today, we're excited to announce our seed-stage investment in Tofu, a game changer in the realm of B2B marketing automation. By analyzing all of your brand materials, messaging, personas, target industries, and accounts, Tofu’s AI can generate customized marketing materials for every customer across every channel. Your landing pages, email campaigns, PDFs, blog posts, and more all become tuned to persuade each target.

Tofu is the end of one-size-fits-none marketing, and the true beginning of generative marketing.

‎Generative marketing is defined as the use of artificial intelligence to create text, images, and other media based on data about the buyer and seller to produce personalized marketing materials at scale

The sales stack has mercifully coalesced around platforms like Salesforce, ZoomInfo, Outreach, and Gong, which have all built AI into their core products. But marketers are faced with a quagmire of point solutions that sits alongside their many agency relationships, and they’re understandably cautious about AI given its tendency to hallucinate. That’s why we believe Tofu’s comprehensive solution is spearheading the next evolution of generative marketing.

Bridging the omnichannel gap with Tofu

Tofu enters the market with an omnichannel focus from inception. With a vast reservoir of marketing content trapped in non-editable formats, the ability to unlock and personalize this content is pivotal. Marketers may need to produce a personalized asset for hundreds of accounts across a number of personas and industry verticals, just for a single campaign. Tofu capabilities now span more than a dozen use cases including email, whitepapers, blog posts, and social posts, and three content types including text, HTML, and PDF. Whether it's tailoring a landing page for a specific client or customizing case studies, Tofu not only makes this possible but does so with a consistent brand voice and top-tier quality.

Unlike existing generative SEO tools that deliver raw text as an output—requiring additional design and layout efforts—Tofu offers fully designed landing pages enriched with imagery, brand colors, logo, and other marketing collateral. And what further sets Tofu apart is its customizability: using existing tools yields very similar results for the same prompts. The results of Tofu’s model are uniquely tailored to each brand voice and messaging.

A central hub for collaborative creation

Tofu is built for teams who want results. The product will tie content creation to campaign execution, complete with integrations, access controls, and analytics to track ROI. That reinforces Tofu's feedback loop to improve marketing content and campaigns over time through performance data—answering the question of what messages are working for which persona, which industry, and which channel.  As companies expand verticals, this provides invaluable playbooks for brands to successfully start selling into new end markets.

‎Instead of training on problematic public data, Tofu uses your existing content and provides a human-in-the-loop system to prevent embarrassing hallucinations. It provides multiple options that can be adjusted with simple text-based recommendations and editable results. This will ultimately empower marketers to focus on strategic thinking and customer relationships, rather than having to tailor templates for hundreds of accounts. Tofu’s AI actually makes marketing more human by removing busy work and helping treat each customer as unique.

The powerhouse team behind Tofu

Beyond the product, the team helming Tofu is a rare blend of AI prowess and go-to-market (GTM) expertise that’s hyperspecialized for this exact opportunity. Personally, it's such an incredible privilege to partner with my former SignalFire colleague Elaine Zelby, who is a whirling dervish of creative energy and deep GTM expertise, such that she was constantly getting bombarded by offers from our portfolio companies!

‎She's joined by the perfect cofounders in Eunjoon (EJ) Cho and Honglei Liu, who have decades of experience between them at Meta and Affirm and have a phenomenal track record of building enterprise-grade AI products at scale. We couldn't be more excited to partner with them as they build the defining generative marketing platform.
